The Pearl Polianthes (Tuberose) is a double form of Mexican Single Tuberose, above, with flowers that resemble miniature gardenias. Known as the “Hawaiian Garland flower” and frequently used in leis, it is said to be the most fragrant flower in the world. Its scent grows even stronger at night, so it's lovely in a moon garden. A perennial in Zones 9-11 – an excellent pot plant elsewhere.
